Roles and 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

• Accurately prepare daily doses and take-home medications for inpatients. Dispense medications to outpatients according to physicians’ prescriptions, ensuring correct dosage and administration instructions.
• Provide detailed medication counselling to enhance patient safety, focusing on the safe use and administration of medications. Double-check high-alert medications to prevent medication and dispensing errors.
• Monitor drug inventories for expiry dates, manage stock levels, and ensure proper storage conditions to maintain medication quality and keep a record of storage temperature and humidity controlled. Conduct monthly stock takes and manage the issuance of drugs to sub-stores.
• Actively contribute to the hospital’s quality improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing pharmacy services and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate records of controlled drug usage and comply with regulatory requirements for drug storage and handling.
• Assist in providing treatments and advice by maintaining up-to-date patient medication histories and ensuring medication appropriateness.

Job 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
• Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medication.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• At least 6 months’ experience in the hospital pharmacy field.
